Provider-specific review
What the public record says about a leak adjustment
Norfolk’s Utilities Department may provide discretionary relief for excess water and sewer fees resulting from a leak, issued as an adjustment credit on a later monthly statement, generally within one to two billing cycles. Customers should continue paying their average bill while the request is reviewed, then pay the remaining balance or request payment options after the credit. Customer Service can dispatch a mechanic to verify the meter, city-owned portion, and reading; the reviewed page did not publish a universal percentage or cap.
