What the public record says about a leak adjustment
Puyallup requires a written leak-adjustment request stating the repair date and leak description plus a repair bill or materials receipt, sent to City of Puyallup Utilities Division, 333 S Meridian, or copbilling@puyallupwa.gov. The Water Division verifies that the leak was repaired before processing; no adjustment is made if the same period's prior-year consumption was higher. Eligibility requires an adjustment over $25 for water-and-sewer accounts or $15 for water-only accounts, with one adjusted billing per 12-month period. If the leak affects winter-average months, the City recalculates the average using adjusted consumption; new occupants use three preceding billing periods, prior residence history or system average when needed.
