Inside-city residential water has a $16.32 monthly base per unit and commodity tiers of $2.19 per thousand gallons for 0–7,000, $3.91 for 7,001–14,000, $5.23 for 14,001–21,000, and $6.44 above 21,000. Inside-city residential sewer has a $24.46 base and $2.82 per thousand gallons up to 10,000; stormwater is $9.49 per ERU per month. Outside-city rates are higher and separately published.

- Inside-city residential wastewater is a $24.46 monthly base charge plus $2.82 per thousand gallons for Tier 1 usage up to 10,000 gallons. Accounts without a water meter use a $44.18 sewer charge; outside-city residential/commercial sewer is $30.61 base plus $3.52 per thousand gallons up to 10,000. The current FY2026 schedule does not describe a winter-average calculation.
- Meter reading
- Boynton Beach is replacing approximately 23,000 meters beginning October 2024 with Sensus iPearl AMI meters. The older electronic-transmitter system has been in use since 2005; the new AMI provides real-time usage, immediate continuous-use/leak detection, and customer-service access to consumption data. Monthly bills are generated regardless of occupancy, while meter replacement proceeds by age/accuracy and neighborhood schedule.
- New-account deposit
- A security deposit is required for each metered account. FY2026 deposits are $100 for 5/8- or 3/4-inch meters, $125 for 1-inch, $250 for 1.5-inch, $400 for 2-inch, $750 for 3-inch, $1,250 for 4-inch, $2,500 for 6-inch, and $4,000 for 8-inch. Residential customers may obtain a refund after at least 24 consecutive months of service and a 12-month satisfactory payment record with no more than one late payment, refused check, nonpayment disconnection, tampering, or fraudulent/unauthorized use. Re-refunding or a new deposit may be required after delinquency.
- Activation or transfer fee
- Opening service requires an application, proof of property authorization such as lease, warranty deed, or corporate documentation, valid identification, and the meter-sized deposit; after deposit receipt, water activation requires 24 hours’ notice. The FY2026 sheet lists a $55 field-visit fee for service work and a $165 after-hours field visit; the exact transfer/termination fee should be confirmed with Customer Relations. New meter installation also carries connection/capital-facility charges.
